In my Inbox today there was a message claiming to be from Yahoo! Answers.
It said: "You have a new answer to your question." When I clicked on this email to open it, Spyware Doctor sent me a message saying it (SD) had stopped me from visiting a potentially harmful site (or something like that).
I don't want to try again to open this email, in case it is a fake. Has anyone else had this kind of experience with Yahoo! Answers/Spyware Doctor, or with other security programmes?

I guess the mail is legit. what must have happened is you checked the option to mail you answers to your questions when you started your Answers account.

So the mail might be legit. when you go to open the page there might be some code written on the Answers page that Spy doctor does not recognize and gives you a warning that the page is insecure (stops you form visiting a potentially harmfull site).

My guess is that there is no suspicious mail it is just a misunderstanding.
Peace

as with all e-mails ,if you dont like the look of it ..delete it,simple as that,
e-mails are still the favourite route for virus writers to infect our p.c,s as we are a very curious lot,and if we see a intresting e-mail we open it,such as"you have won a plasma t.v",if you saw that, the excitement would be too much for some and they would open it straight away
they would,nt notice anything straight away, they would read a message saying"send $100 to claim your free gift"and delete the mail as a waste of time
a week or so later, they would notice a change in the computers behaviour and upon a virus scan they would find they have a virus, and as many are brand new viruses they would,nt have been picked up by their e-mail scanner
so ,just delete anything you dont like, and save yourself a lot of time and greif
good luck

scam!!!! that is a phishing digital mail. do not respond to the message and delivers out your own assistance to finished strangers or you'll danger dropping your account to them in case you accomplish that. undergo in ideas that Yahoo would not deliver unsolicited emails to all its shoppers, because the corporation already has all that saved in its properly-secured servers. merely get it deleted instantly away. once you receive emails from Yahoo, seem for the pink insignia seal to the left of the sender's call. it is going to element out to you the reputable messages come instantly from the corporation and not in any respect from the scammers.

Please contact Yahoo Forums and report this. And have a copy of your e-mail ready if they ask for it.

Reporting is the ONLY way to help prevent this or anything like this from happening again.

It should be in the top right corner of your screen if it's like mine.

Hi, you can try firefox browser.

it can block any annoying popup ads. it can prevent most of the virus in the webpage, as you know, most of the virus is spread through internet.

Download firefox for free:
