It works both ways. Some people are posing questions which reveal attitudes and opinions they definitely would never voice in the real world because in the real world they'd run a risk of getting slapped or making a fool of themselves. This format does provide a good deal of Dutch Courage. Yes, we are all going around pretending to be nicer than we really are, and cooler, and smarter, and more talented, and healthier, as well. Apart from me, of course.
Reminded of the song 'Good Thing' by FYC 'bout a guy who misses the girlfriend who dumped him.
"Someone said she was coming back.
I was so happy, I didn't act"
Nah, we're all at it, all the time.

No I answer in the same way I would answer if I was face to face with someone.
Most of the questions I answer on here are questions people wouldn't ask me face to face anyway.

When I am answering questions to be helpful, I answer them as I would face to face but when people ask stupid or rude questions, I would be nastier to their faces than I am here as you are limited as to what you can say.....lol...

i think most people will answer BETTER --- face to face --- because they can OBTAIN MORE INFORMATION---
many questions here are very obscure and can have many answers
to answer any question is not COURAGE --- is care and interest --- but to answer CORRECTLY --- needs " CORRECT QUESTION "
i BELIEVE " most " people on this site --- answer honestly --- to the information given in the question ---
wish the questions were better put sometimes
i can say all this --- face to face ha ha

I think fewer people would have the courage to ask the questions they do if they had to face their potential audience.

For sure some of the people's answers would be different if they were face2face with another. We all like the fact that you can say what you feel like and no one knows who you are.
