"The Dead Zone"--the tragic tale of a guy who wakes up from a coma to find himself a reluctant psychic charged by some higher force with keeping a political candidate from climbing the ladder and initiating Armageddon. John Smith is made of awesome! I love the book, even if it's not what people think of when they think Stephen King. And the TV series isn't bad, either.
