The English football team is not that bad.
They get to the last 8 or 16 almost every time.
Out of the 215 teams that started this years world cup, they finished about 8th.
That is not so bad !
Your retarded question is like asking "why is the 8th richest person in the world so poor?"
Or why is the 8th most beautiful woman in the world such a pig?"
If you want to insult the English, just go ahead and do it, but don't do it hidden behind your screen, go down to London, and scream it at the top of your voice.

Because the players all play as individuals and not as a team, they have very little time training as a team they should at least train twice weekly during the football season i.e. the selected teams both A & B should practive together, learn to be a unit then and only then will England become a formidable force against the rest of the world.
At this precise time England are a joke and all of the talent on the field was no better than you see at a Sunday morning playing field in your own area...

The England team was bad because the manager was incompetant from the start. He picked a dubious squad to play in the world cup. He didn't have enough strikers of quality and had to play Rooney on his own up front. Lampard had more shots on goal than anyone in the tournament and scored zero so there was an element of bad luck too.
Why didn't Germany win it? That's the question.

1st England has NOT the best league in the world.
2nd They invented NOTHING.
3rd Brazilian football industry is 10000 Times larger.
4th 40 years ago they cheated.

Sven was a useless, defensive-minded tactician who failed to get the best out of the players and McClaren will be the same.
Plus I think several players have underperformed whilst playing for England. The likes of Lampard and Rooney were very poor at the World Cup.
We just dont see to have the winning mentality needed to life a major trophy.

England are one of the best football teams in the world , the biggest reason we dont win anything is that we do not revert to cheating to win games.For example if Rooney had went down instead off battling through two players ,like 99 % of other players would off done , he would of got a free kick . He is not a cheat and wanted to play the game to the rules and the rest is history i'm affraid.
Basically in football it pays to cheat .
England dont cheat so wll never win anything.

I agree that as a team,England was very bad and stumbled through to the quarter finals before a much better side kicked them out! However,the blame should rest on Sven and the English media who are not savvy at all.As individuals,the English team had good players but never played as a team!!!

i think they played bad are because of many reason, such as: they got no teamwork, they got to much pressure by media, wrong tactics by stupid Sven(they must play with 4-4-2 to play a good game, not 4-1-4-1)
,The injury that hit some of their key player before and at the world cup such as Rooney, Owen and Becks, lack of match fitness after the club competition before the world cup, temperament player such as Rooney and of course their bad luck and mental strenght at the penalty kick
