when i insert a CD, nothing is happening in my PS2. it is just showing system configuration and browser. i play that game everyday. it seems the motor is not turning. what is the problem?

I too have had this problem and there are 2 different things you can do:
1. Call SONY at 1-800-345-7669 and they will walk through and trouble shoot with you.
2.Use the canned air
You don't say how long you have had your ps2 and if it is still under warranty.

that is an same issue I had. it variety of feels that a million. Eathier its damaged. or 2. The disc isn't compatable for ps2s and three. Its not compatable for theregion you stay in i wish it helped.

Take your PS2 to the place you bought it and let them check it along with your CD

I had a similar problem. You probably just need to clean it with one of those pressure air cans...

mine does that and now i cant watch dvds, play cds or certain games. ******* sony

I had the same prob b4.....you should change the lens of ur ps2....n it will start working again......:)
