The problem is that blood is pooling in the veins and arteries in your feet and legs, causing swelling.

Put your feet up so that they're above your heart to keep the blood from pooling there. Do that a few times a day.

Also, use ice packs on the feet while they're elevated to help take the swelling down faster.

I don't know of any herbal remedy to go along with this advice other than possibly looking into herbs which have been cited for helping circulation.

Just don't use any diuretics. They can cause severe kidney and heart damage if you take them on a consistent basis or have an underlying medical condition that you're unaware of.

Probably a diuretic - you can buy at a drug store or get a prescription from your MD - probably they have some at a vitamin store - it helps remove excess fluid from your body
