Yes, Ronaldo C, overdid it but my choice would have been Luis Valencia of Ecuador.

He did his country proud!

Podolsik got the price and not Ronaldo, because:

Games played (WC):
Ronaldo 6 -- Podolski 7

Minutes played:
Ronaldo 482 -- Podolski 633

Goals:
Ronaldo 1 -- Podolski 3

And these are just the big points...Ronaldo also is quite a diver, not a really fair player. Podolski is, he can handle the pressure better!
Prinz Poldi totally deserved the price!

Hit the nail on the head there. Look Germany maxed it to the semis... and the country were excellent host... it's the least FIFA can do. (psst... actually Ronnie the C was a coupla pts ahead.. but no can do... guy thinks he's in the swimming pool; and the rest is hysterical as they say). he-he

Its a meaningless award and will be forgotten in six months anyway, so it doesnt really matter who wins it. The most important thing is the World Cup itself.
