Then the world would have another problem: my son who will keep on asking "Why did it have to be my father?" The leaders of the world would have to give him an answer, something like "because he was the best man in the world; you should be proud of it." Then my son would say "How come this world become a better place if it sacrifices its own best men?" And so on.
Okay, I was just kidding, but the truth is that I wouldn't do that. I am too old to believe in such a thing. I know that, if we want to get rid of the problems in a society that has, let's say, 1,000 people, then we would have to get rid of 1,000 people...

If you are dead how would you know that all the world's problems were solved. Obviously death was not solved. You're dead. And who is giving you this deal? What is in it for them? I'm just curious why they would pick me out of all the people in the world to give this offer to. What if they gave it to a whole bunch of people and created a mass suicide? Population, starvation, unemployment, all the problems of the world seem to have disappeared over night, only mortality is up 500%. Go figure. Doesn't sound like much of a deal to me. Even Jesus had an out clause. I would have to say "No".

Yes, by all means.
Do you want to know why?
What is one life worth in a world where people could die for a $20-worth hold up? If this low-value life can be of such a great value as to save the world, don't you give it up, knowing that it is going to end anyway ??? ..

If I gave up my own life, the worlds problems would not be worth saving. The new beautiful world would have been created on an act of bloodshed, and would be tainted already.

If that was possible - how could I refuse? It would be too selfish not to give my life for the life of the whole world.

Yes I would but not by suicide!

Also, I would like to comment on Donnie Darko. That movie was the best movie I have ever seen. While sometimes strange it was really good.

Given the fact that this scenario would never in a million years occur, sure. Why not?
