It is a celebration of end of evil and the begining of celebration and peace, and brotherhood. one shares gifts and sweets with their friends and families. Today when there's so much of hatred spreading amongst nations... it is the best way to join forces for peace.

Yes not only because it is sounds like a lovely holiday but also because I think it is important to have a holiday from other countries so everyone can learn to apperciate different cultures and people. For example Chinese New Year is celebrated by many non chinese people. I'm American and I don't really know anything about diwali, but if it falls at a time where there already isn't a holiday and it isn't entirely religious in nature I know many people will enjoy and accept it.

Dushera & Deewali. i love them because each and every street is done of light. i love watching Devi Durga's arti & fireworks. And the holiday journeys are longer than in different fairs. i don't like Raksha Bandhan, because i don't have a brother. It makes me experience unhappy even as my acquaintances are all busy paying for Rakhi for his or her brothers & i'm on my own. I obviously dislike Holi, because i'm the sufferer many of the time & human beings do not imagine two times before putting the colors into eyes.

i think so .yes........whan we can celebrate chritsmas in india then y not diwali in the world..........
there an obstacle...........in the western countries, fireworks are banned(air pollution) and you cant even light diyas cause there r smoke-detcting sensors everywhere but u can definitely light candles 'cause when u go to church , u light candles as u pray......
i dont think so that anybody is ready to celebrate diwali without fire crackers..........r u???????????
