Sean led the league in rushing, but LJ had 1750 yards remarkably in only 9 games! LT is always a quality back. So who do I go with?

When I look at this question, you have to consider the team that surrounds them. Shaun Alexander clearly has the best team around him (taking into consideration WR/QB/TE/OL and their DEF). He will always be in position to score.

With Phillip Rivers starting in SD, he is not Drew Brees. Which is why I have laughed at everyone who has taken Antonio Gates in round 3. Defenses are going to throw 8 in the box and make Keenan McCardell and Eric Parker beat them, not LT. I think this has potential to be one of his worst statistical seasons of his career.

Now, with Larry Johnson, consider:

- He hadn't played much in the first 2 years of his career, so he was 100% healthy
- It wasn't a full season, so even if he got dinged, it didn't have the effect that it would if it was game 14 or 15 instead of 6 or 7
- The schedule was very kind to KC in that stretch, there were really no run stopping teams that they played.

To think he'll repeat this in 2006 I think is wishful thinking. I think he's good for over 1000 yards and 15 TD's, but is that worthy of a #1 overall pick? And if he gets hurt, there is no one to really replace him with the uncertainty around Priest Holmes (Dee Brown is the listed #2 on the depth chart at RB right now).

So I would go with Alexander, you can make that pick with confidence and no question marks. He plays in a weak conference and that means 6 big games right there.

With no Priest Holmes in KC, and Will Shields and Willie Roaf returning to the offensive line, I'd take Larry Johnson. Dick Vermeil is gone and Herm Edwards is in as head coach. Take a look at Curtis Martin's numbers the last couple of years and you'll see that Herm likes to run the ball. If the line can stay healthy, Larry Johnson could rush for 2,000 yards and 18+ touchdowns in 2006.

LT. Alexander is on the cover of Madden, so he'll get the curse. and I don't think LJ is that amazing. LT is going to get twice as many carries because they have Phillip Rivers at QB now.

Any of the three would be a good pick. I would go with Alexander or LT though

LT because he has a QB who has never started before so they will run more often and he is a better reciever than Johnson.

Alexander..........nothing has really changed with this team...
That in ENGLISH means he should get the same STATS...
almost like-wise with Johnson....only if K.C. had some Wide-outs who could make a difference......They DON'T

Alexander has been more consistant over the last few years, until he shows different I will consider him the best bet.
