A screensaver is a program which automatically displays a moving picture or pattern on the computer screen after the computer has been idle for a certain period of time. If the keyboard or mouse is touched, the working desktop screen returns. The original purpose of a screen saver was to prevent a fixed image from being burned into the phosphor of the screen, by darkening the screen and displaying moving images. Screen burn is less likely to occur with current monitors, and would take many hours.

A screensaver is a program which turns itself on after you leave your computer idle for a while. A screen saver displays some pictures or animations insteed of the way your desktop or any running program. The screensave will also be automically turned off fhen you input any data into your pc through your keyboard or mouse, the data is sent when you press any tablet on your keyboard or move your mouse the screensaver will be turned off when you input the data but it often ignore the first data that you sent depending on the kind of screensaver you are using at that time.

actually screensaver the word explains itself. save the screen.
because monitors are made up of tiny pixels, each pixel has capability of displaying millions of colours independently.
so in offices where computers are left to idle for long period of time, the pixels often display that same colour the whole day for many months and etc. and these will create a 'burn in' effect. and then you will see a vague image of this screen even if you are at another page. it is permanent. so screensave is here to change the pixel's display colour regularly so the burn in effect do not happen and screen lasts many years longer. !!

Screen saver is a program that runs when the computer is idle. It runs above all other programs and covers the whole screen area. It is used so that it would be hard to see whats on the computer... and to save some energy..
We can choose which screen saver to run in the setttings
In desktop right click anywhere and then click properties and then go to tab screen saver.
Here you can choose which screen saver to use.. and you can also adjust when the screen saver would come...Most of the screensavers are customizable.

when u leave an monitor for long time in idle state then the screen gets burnt due to a constant electric supply. so to make the screen change its power resolution screensavers are used. nowadays many screensavers are available of many styles
