It is one of the laws of the game that goalkeepers must always wear a differrent colored shirt, in order to differentiate themselves from the rest of the players.
This is because, as the only player who is allowed to handle the ball, the referree must be able to tell very easily who is the goalkeeper in a crowded area.

Of course goalkeeps must wear a contrasting colored jersey to the rest of the team players - how else can refs make them out... you might get sneaky Ronaldo-type player using his hand to punch in the goals for corner-kicks if all 11 players are of the same color.

It's Law 4 of the "Laws of the Game" concerning players' equipment that the goalkeeper must wear clothing distinguishing him from the other players and from the referee.

To differentiate who could use their hand to stop a goal while he's inside the "D" box, otherwise any member of the team will use their hand and it will not be a penalty. This reminds me of my street football where we had running goalie where anyone could be a goalie.Wala wonderful days.
In that case i should ask you a question: Why do goalkeepers wear Gloves??

Because goalkeepers are separate from regular field players. They can use their hands, and are also protected against being roughed up by other players. The jersey change just makes the distinction more obvious.

It's mainly to distinguish him from others, so that nobody else touches the ball with their hand
