Tom Sietas holds the current world record at 8 minutes and 58 seconds submerged in a pool without breathing, set on December 12, 2004.

I'm not sure, I think they just did a show on this and some dude did it for like 7 minutes but he didn't break the record, they record is like 8 minutes and 39 seconds or something like that.

David Blaine was going for 9 minutes so it has to be right under that
