I would. More time to do what you want, less time spent conforming to our greedy economy.
What do you all think? Please give reasons!

Agreed. It would reduce transaction and transportation costs tremendously, as well as improve national health due to more relaxation and time to be happy.

Andy Rooney once argued that we could alleviate congestion by making all businesses 24-hour and having people take one of the three shifts. You'd have a lower volume but moving constantly, and hence no waste of resources.

Yes, I did work 4 ten hour days for the last 5 years. I loved it. I think in France they have 32 hour work weeks by law.
The reason I liked it?
1) Saved in commute time and getting dressed for work. My trip was 30 minutes each way... so I saved an hour a week or 50 hours a year.
2) Save gasoline
3) Allowed me to better balance my home life with work psychologically.
4) I would put all of my appointments to my off Fridays if I could so I was rarely not at work because of appointments.
Our company gave us a choice between different combinations of 40 hours. People with young children seemed to like the shorter work days but a longer work week. I always loved the short week.

For many people, working four or five or even six days a week would be a luxury ... I personally think there are a lot of job hogs out there; that is, people working sixty or seventy hours a week, while others that can do that same job are unemployed. In some countries, they legislate a 32-hour working week ... but I don't know if this fixed the unemployment problem. I would suspect there would still be a lot of overtime for some people.
