Yes of course but then what after you die? What does it benefit a man that he inherits the world and loose his soul. Now you know why you should strive to live by his will.

God wants us to live by his will and be holy like Him. If we chose not to live by his will for us we will be taken out of God's presence by his will. God said let there be light, he created us in his image and we are to be the light of the worl and be holy like God.
