In Windows Media Player, click on the Burn tab, drag drop the wmv files into the left column. Insert a plain CD into your CD RW drive. Click on the burn button. The files will be written into the cd in cda format.

WMV is a container format, which contains both video & audio like in .mp4, .avi, .rm, .asf etc.
Whereas .cda is a CD audio format which can contain only audio in its most raw state so that it can deliver the best of audio quality.

So you can convert .cda to .wmv but not .wmv to .cda.
Offcourse it is possible to convert .wma to .cda.

Convert Windows Media Video to a CD audio track? Huh? If you just want the sound, play the video in Media Player whilst recording in an audio prog such as Audacity.

cda format is a Audio CD format. you need to burn as a compiling audio CD. Compiling audio files like mp3, wma, rm, ogg, etc. but WMV is the Video file. If you really need that video file audio to get extracted and put it in ur New Audio CD use 'Sony SoundForge' or 'dbpowerAMP'. dbpowerAMP is for all audio convertors...
