When other people are also scavenging (and killing if necessary), you will find out how much fun it can be.

Oh, there are any number of scenarios where the economy could fizzle and die.

1.) A nuclear bomb takes out a major American City.

2.) A dirty bomb takes out the side-by-side Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach (44% of our Foreign trade goes through these ports. A small radioactive device could take both of these ports out for a very, very long time and kill 30,000 people at the same time.)

3.) The oil cartels get serious and block all oil coming into the United States.

4.) The bird flu pandemic sweeps through the U.S. and immobilizes metropolitan areas for 6 weeks at a time. Kind of a "rolling black out" across America.

5.) Someone could set off a nuclear bomb at the State of the Union address knocking out the President, VP, all of Congress, the Supreme Court, and every member of the Cabinet with the exception of the Secretary of Agriculture who now is left running the country by herself (Yay, a woman president!)

That's just 5 scenarios. I'm sure there are lots of others.

You wouldn't be saying that if you were living here in New Orleans through Katrina! You wouldn't have the guts. Grow up is right!
