Both mark the end of ur saga. I would opt for Burn out. There's a big diff here. Imagine this, U r famous n ppl know u. All of a sudden u r not there. Ppl would keep sayin "This guy really was happenin. N now he isn't here". But in the case of Fadin away , U'll still b alive n healthy but ppl don't recognise u anymore. Which one would u go for? Y do v remember Kurt even now? Y do v still listen to his tracks? Thats cos he burnt out at the right time. If he is faded , v won't b givin a F.U.C.K abt his songs.

Well, Kurt Cobain quoted those Neil Young lyrics in his suicide note, I'd imagine his answer would be yes. Personally I think that burning out is the end of one part of life and the begining of the next. Whereas 'to fade away' means you are too attached to that last part of your life, and its gone, as it fades, so do you.

I love Classic rock....
Burning out means you have grown old on ppl, prob left a bad image of ur self so i would prob prefer just fading away.
Like Ozzy and his reality TV show. Wouldn't you prefer to remember him as a hard core rocker than some old guy throwing rocks at his neighbors house?

yep! it is. You got to give your best even if you know that the task at hand is petty close to impossible. That's the secret of success in life. Rather I would say that you shouldn't even think about whether the task at hand is gonna take toll of you.The bumble bee is too heavy to fly , but she doesn't know her limitations and thus flies without fear successfully. Just stay focussed on your goal and the victory will be yours, without even burning out. ALL THE BEST.
Yours sincerely

Sounds like a line from my fave movies The Highlander. Love that movie, the second one is good too but the 3rd is crap but the initial story line is fantastic!

Rise up, gather 'round, lets rock this place to the ground?

I think that's how it goes, it's been a while.
