yes, i have been married for 6 years to the same fridge-fanatic type. all this means is he is too lazy to prepare something for himself. He is hoping you will find his childlike helplessness irresistable and make his dinner. my suggestion, is go to the fridge, find YOURSELF something, and eat it with a SMILE. tell him theres more in the fridge.

When a guy opens a fridge, there are two things on his mind.

1. How hungry he is.
2. How fast the food currently in the fridge can be prepared.

- If he is super hungry, anything is food.
- If he is not hungry, he wouldn't open the fridge.
- If he is kind of hungry but not starving, there is a problem because he desires to eat, but is not yet desperate enough to prepare an actual meal. This is when a man will say, "There is nothing to eat."

It actually means... "There is nothing that I am desperate enough to cook for."

see the problem here is that your man doesnt know how to cook so he ends up looking at the basic ingrediants in the fridge and says there is nothin to eat.
plus at times some people want to eat somethin different like take out or pizza or somethin like that. so u normally wouldn't keep such things in your fridge.
you know that there is somethin in the fridge because maybe you make the food in the house and know what is required to make what! he just sees it as cheese in the fridge or like tomato in the fridge. he wouldnt have a clue what to do with them or how to make food with them. thats why he opens and closes the fridge sayin there is nothin in the fridge.
in other words he expects you to cook somethin for him. thats just a way of telling you that he is hungry .

Don't worry yourself about this. Many men to this. We open a fridge with very high expectations of discovering some great wonderful treat.
Very often we do this over and over again.
What's happening here is that each time, we lower our expectations until we settle on whatever is there.

Every man is like this. Unless your refer actually reads minds? It will always be this way. I have discovered the male of the species likes it quick and easy. Most things in the refer require such things as recipes or as I like to call it...effort. Until they create an eye scanner that scans the eyeball and delves deep into the tissues of the gray matter and then transmits that hunger data to the refer which in turn shoots out an appetising hunger satisfying alreasy assembled meal it will always be "there is nothing to eat".

The fridge may be full, but there may not be any thing suitable for your husband to eat. Why do you blame your husband for telling the truth?

If you cant just grab it, open it and eat it then there is nothing to eat. If you have to cook it, or make it in any way it takes too much time and effort and men are lazy.

Because theres nothing he really wants to eat... then theres nothing to eat for him ( by the moment )
Maybe some time later he changes his mind.
