Get a job that pays $12,000,000 a year. In seriousness though, there are limited options for the average Joe to make this kind of money in a short period of time. It's always possible to get lucky (gambling, lottery, high-risk stocks) but these ways are just as likely to leave you $1M in debt.

Most millionares in America are entrepreneurs so your best bet is to find something you're good at and start a business. With time, luck, and skill, it's possible to make that kind of money (although still not likely).
