Is it still sexy when you're 40 and your skin resembles a dirty, grease laden paper bag thats been trampled for weeks? Is it worth it when you get skin cancer?

I know what your saying!
I went to the beach today (I'm In Florida) And there were these old bagging saggy leathery looking people. I was like DAM! Put on some sun protection cause some of y'all already look like y'all need some moles to be checked.
Really I think people like they way it makes there skin glow.
Not it's not worth it.
I have a natural tan. And excess of pigment that makes me what would be know as an African American or what ever we are being called now. I'm glad I have my own pigment cause I really don;t want to be on that mission that a lot of my Caucasian sisters are on endangering their lives to be darker.
You don;t even have to go tanning to be at risk my co worker just had to have a test done on his skin and he says he has never just gone to the beach in search of a tan.

i tan and i think it's okay...you can get skin cancer wearing a turtle neck... even the slightest exposure can harm you...you can get skin damage on a cloudy day, but I hear ya.....if you over tan yeah...you'll get leather skin for sure...but a little color to liven up the complexion doesn't hurt.... plus that look is because they don't take care of their skin...i am 36 and look 26...i clean and exfoliate as often as I can... I shower for sure that night...put Olive and almond oil on me..... i don't want dry flaky skin....i have smooth skin all over my body...I keep myself nice and soft with the best lotion, i use SPF30/45 for face so i don't burn...and i never tan in the direct sun....i go to a tanning bed ( latest technology, gotta make appointment days before) where there is less than 1% chance of burning....Less that 1 percentage of the uva/uvb that affects you and causes you to burn....... But I do understand....some people are scary..... I do not tan to the point where you can tell I've just hit the salon....more of a beached fresh look.... I tan twice a week then stop for two....

Hey, I have the same question.
I sometimes get made fun of for my white legs but I always wear sun protection with high uva and uvb protection and a hat to protect my neck with a good pair of polarized sunglasses.
Even if you don't get skin cancer, when your 35 and you look like your 50, are you going to regret not being more mature?

I prefer to not be really pale, but I use the tan in a bottle so that I'm not damaging my skin.

Because people are weird. Personally, I don't like the day-glow orange skin color. But that's just me.

you are wierd oh and to answer your first question i personally don't like tans!!!!and i defenitely dont think they are SEXY!!!yeah right!!!tans look horrible welll not that i have ever tried getting a tan!!!
