With respect !! Give them what you expect when the roles are in reverse and you are a customer! Treat them like they were the most important person to you at the immediate time....you WILL reap the rewards sooner or later...been there done that, for years now, and it's nice to run across customers from the past that greet you like you are an old friend...I love it!!

It woud be nice to have more specific information. But generally, be pleasant, try to understand your customer's needs, do as much as you resonably can to make them happy, but don't be afraid to say no when a request is unreasonable. But if it comes to that, still remember to be nice. Say, "I'm sorry, I can't help you with your request/issue/problem." Then offer an alternative or direct them to someone who can help them.

Always be honest, but not rude. Never undermind them, they are your customer which means they are paying into your bills, you don't want to scare them away.
