I think you mean hiccups -
Hold your breath for 30 seconds and then release it.
2. Breathe into a paper bag five times in a row.
3. Sip 10 consecutive gulps slowly from a glass of water without stopping to take a breath.
4. Immerse your face in ice-cold water for 30 seconds.
5. Swallow a teaspoon of dry white granulated sugar.
6. If you began hiccuping after taking a medication, seek medical help. Also see a doctor if the hiccups don't stop after 24 hours (3 hours for young children) of if they are extremely painful.

If hiccups are in question, try deep breathing, sipping water slowly from a glass while holding your breath, sometimes a good fright/scare also works. All the best with your hic...ups!

Perry,
Hiccups are caused by spasms in the diaphragm muscle. To get rid of them, fill your lungs up completely, and hold your breath for as long as you can. This will make it impossible for the diaphragm to move, and will raise the CO2 levels in your blood, which ends the spasms.

I usually hold my breath for as long as i can until it goes away. But if that doesn't work i hold my nose and down half a pint of water... this usually works best for me!
