I dash ... but look out if you live in Seattle. J-walking is the one crime that is pursued with vengeance by the Seattle police dept. I guess they figure there is at least one crime that can be stopped - and they'll take it.

Im super impatient when standing at the corner waiting. If there are no cars, Im not gonna wait until a light tells me I can walk, if there is traffic, Im not gonna get hit by a car because I couldn't wait two minutes.

Not always, depends on the traffic. Jaywalking is only a $10 fine here and cops are usually too busy with more important things to write that ticket.

(in new york) does crossing on the street no matter what the signal count? I learned that people do that there, and i nearly got run over by a red car like that.
