Unfortunate facts...

1.) People are always going to need a better gun/bomb/way to kill someone else (this is what engineer's do whether they know it or not)
2.) People are always going to get sick and possibly die

The best profession is the one that helps you to appreciate your life and that equips you to do something meaningful with it. Explore your interests and talents and find something that you can be good at and enjoy. If you do this, the rest of your life will fall into place...it isn't just about money.

What are you good at? What do you do for fun? What do you think is important in life? Answer those questions and find a profession that fits those criteria.

Hello! Please study Dieoff.com, TheOilDrum.com, LifeAfterTheOilCrash.net. I believe that once you understand Peak Everything starting with fossil fuel depletion: the best choice is horticulture. Billions will be starving to death in the next 50 years, if you can teach your generation how to grow permaculture food, animal husbandry, proper slaughtering techniques, humanure recycling,etc--the life you save may be your own.
