Forgive him for what? Beating England. Please, get over it. He did nothing wrong in that match, or indeed any others, if you follow reasonable expectations. Show me a player that has done NOTHING wrong all tournament, and I will show you one that has.

You say .. "maybe Portugal won't cheat" .... sweet dreams! Little boy ronaldo is getting his just desserts ... no one likes to see such unsporting behaviour and he has not done himself any favours at international or club level. A lot of people watched the match the other night just to have the satisfaction of seeing the justice of the cheats being knocked out and to see Ronaldo cry. If football is important to him surely he would value winning fairly rather than the desperate attitude of doing anything it takes, fair or foul, to win. The amount of times I have seen him dive in the most pathetic manner is quite unbelievable. He is a good player with much talent and doesn't even need to resort to such antics. With regards to the Germany v Portugal match last night; I am convinced that Portugal could have won if only Ricardo their goal keeper had concentrated on making the saves rather than going for the dramatics. Do Portugal think they have stepped out onto stage rather than a football pitch?? -They are certainly good actors! I am glad Germany won the match as the host nation.

Forgive him for what? did he commit a mistake. Rooney was over reacting with the incident when Ronaldo came to the referree. Beside that The press and media has been fabricating the story of clash between both which rose to a public chats.rooney deserved to be sent off and Ronaldo had the right of defending for his teammate. The situation should have been similar if it was with England and rooney in action.Rooney is well known for his bad temper. THis may lead to Ronaldo's exit from Oldtraford which might be a mistake after the Beckham mistake.Hope that United may take action to bring the both starlet together.

Forgive him!!! For what?! Being one of the greatest football players in the world?! Have you all gone completely insane?!
Show me a player who doesn't try to deceive the referee.
Granted, I also dislike seeing such a quality player doing some of the things he did during the cup, but he's still one of the greatest and we'll be hearing a lot from him in the future, unlike Rooney, who's a thug basically! Seen any English players in the short list for best player, have you? I sure didn't!
I only wish that the likes of Cole, Lampard and Terry keep on being trained by Mourinho!
Get over it England and stop blaming others for your shortcomings. Portugal is a tiny country, capable of doing great things every once in a while, like so many others. Maybe that's what's eating you and so many others...

I certainly don't.
After everything that has been said about Ronaldo, after missing the young player award, after telling the press he cannot face going back to Man U etc, he STILL continued to dive when losing the ball in last night's Germany v Portugal game.
In a relatively unimportant game, he still tried to cheat (even though the impeccable referee was having non of it!) and for that I cannot forgive him.

I am a life long Man Utd fan i want Ronaldo to leave as he is the biggest cheat in world football. Bags of talet, no end product to his game and £30 million would be a good deal so we could replace him. I no way forgive him. Cheating is in Portugals nautre so of course they'll do it again!

I am sure that Cristiano Ronaldo will change when Mr. Scolari is no longer the boss of the Portuguese team. But I am on the other hand not sure whether or not it is already too late for forgiving. Particularly by his colleagues and fans in the UK.

I felt Ronaldo got a raw deal in the whole situation. He was looking out for his national team. I also felt Rooney was just throwing around his popularity. Soccer involves alot of acting. It was just part of the game. Rooney would have done the same. Ronaldo definitely is getting hung out to dry and thats sad. He is a great young talent from what i have seen.

He got involved in a situation that didn't concern him, he was goading Rooney before the match. And finally he winked at the ref after Rooney got the red card......all a bit suspicious?!?! but it seems a little unfair that Rooney got a fine for getting sent off and misses 2 matches and they don't even look into what ronaldo did...even with all the rumours!

Try any player on the England squad.
No, I don't forgive him. The fact that the English are angry at him, the FRENCH (who hate the English -_-) booed him and even the Germans did too says a lot.
