In mathematics the universal answer to this question is 2.
But there are some ridiculous answers
(1) 1+1 = 11 .here we place the second one near the other one.
(2) 1+1 = a big one .here we place the second one over the first one.
(3) 1+1 = zero. here first and second one represent the thumb finger and the pointing finger respectively.when the two fingers are closed it resembles zero.
(4) 1+1 = a couple. one is wife and the other is husband.

Thats rubish it could be 2, 0 or -1 .
Cause +1 + +1 = +2
but +1 + -1 = 0
and -1 + -1 = -2
so if anyone tells you its 2 they could be wrong

1+1=10
1+1=2
The former equation gives the answer in binary notation, one-zero. The latter equation gives the answer in whole numbers, two. Both are correct, though you are most likely looking for the latter answer, not the former.
