What are some of the signs that come before the first menstral cycle?

My daughter is 10 yrs old and her breast have started to develop a little. I was wonderinig if their were any signs of her first menstral period. She seems a little too emotional sometimes and her stomch hurts alot, but I'm not sure thoses are signs, are they? And what else should I be looking for? All moms with any experiance please reply. Please help, Thanks

Well Im definitely not a mom but I started my menstrual cycle very early. I was a complete tomboy & didnt notice it until it was too late but looking back on it...I became very moody & you could tell there were surging hormones going through my body. Look for acne, the formation of breasts & unusual mood swings. Id say she's almost there...probably not quite but pretty close.
