(mainly for cleanliness... don't want to offend cultures or look gay or anything!! i wanna be clean and presentable... and how often should i shave/trim)?

Well you really only need to shave your face.
If you have a really hairy chest or back though, wax it. Don't shave it. Waxing makes the hairs finer while shaveing makes them courser and prickly. And waxing stays smoother much longer. Never shave your pits or legs... That's just weird for a guy. Although if it was normal it would be nice. (Why don't guys have to? girls do...) Also if you have a girlfriend, concider shaveing... um, down there. It's much apreciated, trust me.

I would say just shave your face, and maybe trim the armpits a little only if the hair is very long and if you live in a place where the weather is very hot because that will make you sweat a lot more and when you apply deodorant it will stay only on the hair and not on your skin.

My husband (53) grows a beard because he would have to shave two or three times a day to make it look good. He trims his armpit hairs frequently, and uses a trimmer on his beard to keep its shape. If you grow a beard, have your stylist cut it at the same time as your hair!

I suggest that you go to a stylist and have him give you your first shave. He will show you how to do the right style that sets you best. You trim after your first shave to keep the shpre. then you save to get rid of the bushyness. Girls like a clean short shaving guy. and remeber to rub baby oil over it show it stays soft. Girls don't like to kiss guys with pokey and hairy faces. so make it all peachy soft.

Shave your face...all or to a goatie or whatever facial hair style you like...then keep it neat and trimmed short. As for armpits...no for men..and chest and back hair...waxing is best if you don't like it. Don't shve your legs...that is a no-no for guys...and as for your private area...keep it trimmed and neat...some women like it shaved...but then waxing is also better...you will get used to the pain!!!!!

If you are a guy and by your avatar I would guess that you are... DO NOT SHAVE ANYTHING BUT YOUR FACE! If your Pits stink then get some deodorant, but unless you are on the swim team or bicycle team then do not under any circumstances shave your body, just your face and try a goatee they are sexy!!

Shave whatever area you feel comfortable shaving. I like my man to shave all over if you catch my meaning.

GUYS DON'T SHAVE THEIR ARMPITS AND CHEST. MY BROTHERS SHAVE THEIR ARMS BELLY OR BACK BUT ONLY BEFORE GETTING A NEW TATTOO. JUST SHAVE YOUR FACE A LITTLE SO YOU DON'T LOOK LIKE TARZAN OR SOMETHING AND THAT SHOULD BE GOOD ENOUGH.

at this point, I guess the only area you could shave is around your face

Shave your face whenever the hair becomes visible. And every time you shave it, it grows back faster.
