Turn your eyes and mind to the things in your life that has been good. Stop replaying bad things in your mind. Try and see beauty and goodness in everything in your environment. No one is totally bad. There is some good in everyone. Make it a habit to sing lifting and joyful songs. Look in the mirror every morning and tell yourself that today goodness, joy and happiness shall surround you. When you are sinking into sadness put on a good record and dance. Get involved with community work or some kind of project where you can serve others. There is a joy and a satisfaction that comes from serving others. In my Sunday School days I was taught a song that spelt out the meaning of joy and happiness...J (Jesus, or God first) O (others next) Y (yourself last) This has worked for me putting God first, then others before myself.
If you cannot get to this point you may need professional help. Do see a doctor/therapist. Its just unfortunate that some drugs for depression can keep you docile

well if something happened to you like a friend or loved one dying, or even moving away, you will be in pain. I've found that someone moving away is harder to accept than death, because you have lost the person but they are still here. it may take a long time grieve, but the pain does lessen. however it never really goes away.
if this is not the case and you just feel sad for no identifiable reason, you may be suffering from depression and you should talk to your doctor.

sounds like u have depression. You need to find the stem of what is causeing all this saddness. It may be a number of things, but the first way to fix it is to realise there is a problem and realise the cause. Write a list of the first things that come to mind that make u upset and make that a goal list to change them slowly and steadilly. Next, u need to go to the doctors and tell them u feel depressed. He will then try u on medication that will pick u up. This happens to a lot of people and the main cause (besides life getting people dpwn as it always seems to) is chemical imbalance wich the perscription medication will fix.
please try my advice as things do pick up. Life is meant to be enjoyable.
Good luck and i hope u start to feel better

.Where do you live?? When I'm sad, I just go out to the lake or the woods and I'm much better. The world is a beautiful place... Sounds to me that you are letting people get you down.. If that is the case, get away from them. If not, there are always meds if all else fails..Maybe you are clinically depressed??....I still think It's the people you are around.........

Have you thought about getting help with depression. Feeling sad all the time is not the exact defintion of a "normal" life. Do you have any idea where the sadness is coming from?

Sadness is a leeche. It will stick to ya as long as you let it suck your blood, the moment you decide to get rid of it...you'll be the happiest person :-)
Sadness is the other side of coin. Life cannot go without either happiness or sadness. Eventually, it's basically our frame of mind. If we let oursleves brood too much on certain issues, sadness keeps smiling at our stupidity.

It sounds like you have clinical depression. Consider seeking treatment--either a psychiatrist or a psychologist ... or both.
Persistent sadness that never lifts is one of the major symptoms of depression.
You don't have to feel sad all your life. I had depression for years upon years, and today I am fully recovered. I needed professional help to do it.

Pushing away the sadness is real difficult thing. May be you can try this. close your eyes and try the remember five moments when you were happy and keep repeating them untill it gets registered in your sub-consious mind. Hope you will feel good.

you need a friend to talk to, or a hobby. you know, it take your mind off things, and for somone to befriend and have someone to trust and lay your problems on. sadness is a type of action, that makes you depressed and lonsome, a triger that makes you feel down in the dumps. it goes away, but you need to have fun, or have fun, it'll make your sadness go away. but sadness is always here, it just subsides, when another emotion comes out to overthrough it. im sorry if this aight that much help, but if you need to talk, just email me.
