normally the sports look for talent not what you can lift in weights but you weight plus 10 pounds sould be good at least that is it where I go to college. Just check with the college coach of the sports they will let you know so you can be certain but as a Pre med student i would say that should be sufficient. Just remember to not strain yourself and to force your body to lift more then it wants you to. Also to help with the gaining of muscles check into certain nutritional chemicals. and i dont mean any thing like steriods at all i mean there is certain nutrients from food that help a person build muscle easier and helps the sustain it easier and all.

The link I am leaving is to a site that if you go to it you can find those nutrients or just let me know i can find them easily in my nutrition book......

If you're asking because you feel you are inferior, don't worry about it. A lot of it is just getting the form down. It's hard to do without practice. Regardless of how strong you are if you don't have the form correct you'll be lucky to lift half of your body weight. I'd say your body weight is adequate, max out at maybe one and half times.

Let me put it this way, a high percentage of people believe that lifting your own body weight is what you are supposed to strive for, but a very low percentage of people are actually able to do that. It is not important how much you can lift, its about what you do with it. Focus more on portraying your inside, not your outside.

Depends on your body weight. If you can bench your own weight you are in good shape.

hmmm really depends on how you a physically fit because it depends on your muscle mass because i am 17 i weight about 345 and i am 6'3" tall and i can bench about 250 to 300 but that's because i kept up with myself and kept my muscles in shape so it depends on how long you been working out and what shap your in
