simply i will answer ur question in 4 words:
islam is underattack coz it is the truth.
the ppl who attack the islam do know that it is the way of life and everyone will be attracted to it if he/she sees it`s real picture which represent love, peace.life, respect and tolerance.
the strange thing that they can not understand that the muslims become stronger when they attach thier religion(islam) because the msulim become sure that they are on the right path.i am sure that the islam will still the last and the right religion whatever they do ,whatever they claim, whatever they say about the islam.

Islam is not being attacked, the bad people using a distorted view of humanity and the world outside of their own and claiming Islam as the source of their delusion are being attacked. Unfortunately, innocent people get caught in the fray. Also, true Muslims are too intimidated to speak out for fear of death and therefore there is no dissenting voice within the Muslim community. True Muslims should speak up and perhaps others will see them as real leaders and themselves speak out against those bad people distorting the religion. Lastly, too many so-called leaders in the Muslim community are nothing more than greedy men attempting to hold on to power by any possible means, think about it!

Islam is, and has always been, the greatest single threat to western civilization.
Winston Churchill wrapped it up nicely in 1899:
How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
"A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
"Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."
Sir Winston Churchill (The River War, first edition, Vol. II, pages 248-50, London: Longmans, Green Co., 1899).

Europe should find a way to assimilate immigrants, just as the US has done since day one. However, it is hard to get a sympathetic ear for the Islam faith when there is wanton killing all over the middle east and anywhere else the fanatics can find bombs or guns. You want respect, Islam? Then police your own lunatics. Be the very first to condemn them. Stand arm in arm with the Christians and - ESPECIALLY - the Jews in your community and tell us all how the Koran teaches love for your neighbor - and tell us who is your neighbor.
When you stay silent, the rest of us in the world feel like you are sort of maybe ok with infidels like me being killed. I understand that you are persecuted by the hard core whackos of your faith. But come on!!!! At least you can stop telling the rest of us that we are wrong to judge all muslims by the few who go around blowing up schools, hospitals, office towers and the like. Honey, if that is all we see, that is all we see. The liberal press in the US gives the Arab world every benefit of the doubt. You should be scoring points left and right, but the senseless buthchering of innocents .. forget it.
The guy who quoted Sir Winston Churchill performed a community service. Thank you. When it comes to voting, he gets my vote for 10 points.

I think a lot of the outcry against Islam is pure ignorance. People think that Osama and his ilk define Islam. They form these opinions without even glancing at the Koran. I'm not Muslim, and even I have read it. There's nothing in it about being a terrorist. I think Islam has a lot to offer its practitioners, and I greatly admire how devout its followers are. I have a great deal of respect for Islam, and I think if these naysayers (whether they be in government or elsewhere) actually sat down and studied the real Islam, they would be impressed too.

While it might seem that way to you, depending on your faith and world position at this time, I don't believe that Islam is under any more of an attack than most other religions right now.
Christianity in the United States is under constant attack right here on our own shores. Perhaps not with bombs, or not all the time, but there are more methods of attack than just that.
Catholicism, because of Dan Brown's book, The DaVinci Code, is also under severe attack right now, and in many minds it will never recover.
Think about the persecution of the Jews and their beliefs.
But if you think about it honestly, you will know that these are not new feelings. There has always been, and always will be, somebody out there who hates your religion and wants to beat it out of you. This is a fact of human nature and life here on Earth.
I don't personally believe that any of our world's many religions are really all that different from each other. I believe that there is only one true God - perhaps He has just shown Himself to different people in different ways. Like a school teacher who needs to explain one subject several different ways in order to get the lesson across to every child.

To me the issues lie with intolerance. Iraq is focal but the exact same battle is being waged in the Sudan and in Afghanistan. Islam has no respect for any beliefs other than its own, it shelters no possibilities of its own inaccuracy, it places far too much respect in the hands of other ‘flesh’ men who bend and distort ancient teachings to serve their own end. However, no other opinions are, or can be, valid or welcomed because they may fly in the face of what some puffed-up, self-righteous "man" believes or more probably merely desires. How many Christian churches are there in primarily Muslim lands? How many Islamic Mosques are there in Western Europe and/or the US? If Islam has everything so under control, why do any Muslims desire to live in Western Europe or the States (where they may be less welcomed)- I know of no (I'm sure there are a few) Western Europeans that wish to live in Iran, for example... The Sudan is an interesting microcosm- days ago Islam "claimed" the Sudan. How is that even possible? Even as this is written Muslims attempt, in the name of god, to wipe every last native Sudanese (non-Muslim) off the planet. There is no room for those who do not conform, no way to buy or sell, no way to teach or learn, no hope for life, property, or loved ones. The last point is one of opinion that I fully admit may be absolutely false, but Western Europeans have been struggling, warring, learning, stepping back, stepping up, making decisions for themselves based on what they learn for themselves about life. They (we) have branched out (US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, All of South America, etc.) and, even though set backs have been many and often we find ourselves ever moving forward. Ever learning and striving for truth and happiness, contributing to the world around us, seeking to do more for the world as a whole: Drug research, cancer research, advances in agriculture, space sciences, mapping the universe and more importantly contemplating it, recreation, travel, power, electronics- etc. My point is not to be boastful or proud, but to ask a question. If Christendom has built so much and has the possibility of being remembered for so much, what is Islam, up to and including now, to be remembered for?

I cant say with sureity, but let me try.....
because as I said in another answer I gave you, when terrists do their acts, they ALWAYS say they did so in the name of Allah, that is a fact.
another fact is that the Quaran, does not say a word about murder, infact it says clearly NOT to murder.
I think the question is, why do terrists say they are Muslim / Islam, when they have murder in their hearts? why dont they use a different religion? they only claim to be Muslim, that is why Muslim / Islam is taken as a terrest religion.
I am a Christian, and I am smart enough to know, because I wanted to know the truth so I got a quran and read it. I am sorry others dont do the same.
