It depends what cities you are going to...but while in Germany you have to try some saurkraut/sauerbraten and eat "white sausage" with beer *in the morning* - it's tradition (their drinking age is much lower than ours). Go to a beer garden there if you can. Try and take tours outside of the major cities or rent bikes where you can to explore outside of the tourist traps. Have a great time! Oh - try and learn at least the basics of each language - these people will like you/respect you more if you at can at least say hello and goodbye & thank you in their language.

Italian...just eat anywhere..the food is fabulous. See Milan, Rome, Venice,Tuscany etc. Especially Rome. All the different buildings and stuff you can go to are sooooo coool. Germany..visit the capital...have some beers...look around.
