There have been so many news programs that ridicule him lately. Is he a conservative or a Republican? Is this why they make fun of him? Is he not liberal enough like George Clooney? I don't get it. I like the guy.

The media doesn't even have to talk about him. They seem to go out of their way to ridicule him.
Actors have done worse things than jump on a couch. At least he was happy. I don't think it was "wacko". As far as "pushing Scientology down our throats", it hasn't made me want to join. He has a right to air his opinions just like everyone else. Why is Tom Cruise considered "wackier" than any of those other actors?

Because Tom Cruise has been quiet throughout the entertainment industry for quite some time. Then he pops up making hit movies, which most people are a bit tired of watching him in, marries Katie Holmes, who is much younger than her. Goes crazy on Oprah, preaches scientology, and gets Katie Holmes before marrying her. Then we have his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, which the media fiends as somone who is trying to beat Tom in the next romance. He's getting picked on based on the events of his status quo, not because he got lucky and George Clooney didn't. Clooney is a popular guy and not much to report. Media wants the juice, Clooney is too quiet.

Actually they media is playing it as they see it. they guy is a crazy MoFu., jumping in couches, forcing people against their will to attend Scientology sessions during the filming of "Wars of the Worlds" or else they were going to be fire. Come on! What kind of behavior is that?!

He's insane (his appearance on Oprah, his crazy love of Scientology, wanting to eat his child's placenta, etc.). I think actually the media loves him: the stuff that he does is great fodder for the media to write about.
