The most important thing you can do now to help yourself for the next 40 years is to protect your skin from the sun. Wear a sunblock...a must, must, must. All those people on TV who need massive help at 38 cuz they look 60 were sun worshippers when they were young. How stupid! Wear sunblock and sunglasses (so you don't squint and get lines). And always work a good moisturizer into your skin.
If you drink 8 glasses of water a day your body will be much healthier and any toxins in your body will flush out.
And when you dress, wear classic styles...the ones that scream that you have good taste. When people see you wearing "nice" clothes instead of hip hop, or baggy, or funky clothes, they'll take you more seriously and see you with more respect. If your look never gets old, your entire image will always stay classy and young.

Granted good genes help, start by wearing sunblock. Also, it is recommended you not indulge in too much drinking and avoid smoking. All of these things effect your skin. I am 31 and have never drunk much alcohol or smoked at all and neither have my grandmother and mother... and all of us look very young for our respective ages. Aside from health reasons, I credit the way I was raised for my decision to avoid so much drinking and to never smoke. As we get older, a positive outlook on life, having hope and keeping physically and mentally active also helps to deter what aging does naturally. A good diet is also likely to have an impact, as a poor diet can lead to various ailments.
Also, accept that you will age because it happens to all of us. Being 31, I am glad to be over my teens and twenties... I have gained so much by going through them, but am glad I am where I am both physically and emotionally. There is so much more to aging than keeping a youthful taunt face, unfortunately the media has a tendency to emphasis youth at any cost. In the real world there are lines around our eyes when we smile, and laughing and smiling is another thing that keeps you young (and happy!). Good luck with your life!

Get yourself a group of friends that are in their 70's and 80's. You will always be looking young in a crowd like that.
