There are to ways to relieve a sunburn.
1. If you have some aloe vera gel, rub that on every part of the sunburn, it will feel cold and then feel hot it depends on how bad you are burned. It should work in about a half hour.
2. If that doesn't work then take a nice long bath in tepid water and add 2 cups of vinegar in the water and lay down and soak for about 10 to 15 minutes using your wash cloth to pour the vinegar water over your body. The vinegar water also stops you from peeling. Good luck.

The best way to help relieve a sunburn would be to apply aloe vera on the burned skin. If you have aloe vera in a bottle, chill it in the refrigerator. Apply the cool aloe vera gel onto the burn and you will feel instant relief. Since sunburned skin tends to be drier than usual, I would also recommend baby lotion too. Alternate throughout the day by using aloe vera to cool and soothe the skin then the baby lotion to moisturize and restore your skin back to a healthy state.

Before putting anything on it, you must first stop the burning. A burn continues to burn deeper and deeper until it is adequately cooled to stop the burning inside. Otherwise you seal in the heat and keep it burning even deeper. The best thing is cold water. Submerge the burned areas in cold water until you can feel the heat leave the burn. Make sure all the heat is gone. Then you can cover the burn with a moisturizer to keep the skin moist so it doesn't dry out and crack.

In general, our skin, especially the upper layer is suseptible to the sun rays. The rays have harmful rays (UV) which causes heat and tender skin can develop responses to those in the form of skin burns. Also due to improper skin treatment, which most people do due to unawareness, leads to skin burns. Apply a coat of any available good branded sun protection cream for precautions. Skin types, colours are also factors to be considered during sun burns. Skin burns are harmless but can be severe also with semi-permanent patches. Consult a skin specialist for more medical details.

Use Aloe vera, it helps a lot. You can also take an NSAID like Advil, Motrin or Aleve. They work to decrease inflammation and will also help with the tenderness of the burn. Cool showers can also help soothe the burn.
