It is best to use KY. If you use spit, it is rough.

They have some stuff you can use called Anal Lube. It works best epically for women doing it anal for the first time.

i think lube is always better because it lasts longer. spit dries up too quickly, i think. and if you're using a condom (recommended) they say water-based lubes are best so that they don't break down the latex material. the most popular brand of lube that i've seen is I.D., but there are many others as well. KY is actually advertising on tv now. never thought i'd see that!!!

well, first of all would you like the old spit and pressure to be used on you. you probably don't do it like that but if you did I'm sure you would want some lube.

It is definitely better to use lube. It slides in much easier. I can't really tell you the best kind. You would need to go to an adult bookstore or use the ever so reliable K-Y or baby oil.

First it's best to make sure that your partner is interested in such things, because I'm here to tell you that I don't know any women that are, myself included. That being said, try KY jelly, it's closest to the ph of a woman's body, which is important for avoiding yeast infections. Also don't try that and then switch to regular intercourse, it can cause an infection.

spit is chock full of pathogenic micro-organisms. and the anal lining is comparatively thin and easy to tear. & admit those nasties into the blood system.
The vaginal lining is in contradistiction, armored.
So invest some $ in a good sterile lubricant, your partner deserves it.
