STD or common pregnancy infection?

Im 9 months pregnant and the worst infection I've had was a UTI, until just recently I found out I had Trichomoniasis. The doctor said that sex isn't the only way it's transmitted, but there was no way of finding the cause. I don't know whether my guy cheated or it's just another one of those 'ups and downs' of pregnancy type of thing to deal with. What do you think?

Trichomoniasis, also called “trick,” is a sexually transmitted disease (STD). It is caused by a parasite that can be passed from one person to another. The parasite is sexually transmitted through penis-to-vagina intercourse or vulva-to-vulva contact with an infected partner. The vulva is the genital area outside the vagina. Women can get the disease from infected men or women.

While trichomoniasis is usually passed sexually, it may be picked up from contact with damp or moist objects such as towels, wet clothing, or a toilet seat, if the genital area gets in contact with these damp or moist objects.

I wasn't familiar with the meaning of "Trichomoniasis" so I googled it. I would think that by testing your boyfriend would be one way of determining whether or not he gave it to you or if you might have gotten it from a toilet seat!

if you've had prior UTI's then that is probably where you got Trichomoniasis......it's an infection caused by parasitic trichomonads, affects the urinary tract, vagina, or digestive system

It's a parasite that causes that infection, most commonly by sex, but you can get it from rubbing yourself with something carrying it, like a bathtowel.

I am not sure, but I would research it on the internet.. Also I would have a talk with him to make sure he didn't , even if he says he didn't you can always find out. We have a way of catching them when they do..

i agree with the prior two answers... dont assume your guy has cheated unless there is a history there, or other reason to suspect so...
