This is a great question, I am very glad you asked it. Going in your order, I like Holland's 'Totaly Football' because it allows you so many options. You could change your formation from a 5-4-1 to a 3-4-3 without substituting at all. On a similar note, it is easy for players to switch with eachother, creating good combinations. As far as Italy's 'Catenaccio', well, I absolutely despise it with all of the molecules in my body. I believe it to be one of the reasons, and indeed the origination really, for games with fewer than three goals scored. And, indeed, games with no goals scored. Now, this system does work very well, if all you care about winning. But if you see a really exciting match with lots of attacking football, you know that Catenaccio is not present. A style very likely to be present is Brazil's 'Samba'. Taking full swing during Pele's era, along with several other Brazilians such as Vava, Jairzinho, Garrincha, etc, the 4-2-4 formation was made for this. It was free-flowing, creative football, and a Brazilian player from that time once said, "We often didn't know what was going to happen next." Nowadays, we dont really see it in it's true form, although occasionaly it leaps out at us (BRA-CRC 2002 FIFA World Cup). As previously mentioned, todays game is filled with more of 'Catenaccio' and less of 'Samba'. Personally, to help in this problem, I think they should widen the goal two feet on each side. Then, goals would not be so rare. But anyway, as for as Argentina's 'Tango', I will be honest. I don't know much about Argentina football, other than Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi (who I have begun to follow closely). After I post this, I hope to read what other people have to say and learn some. Ta-ta.

Total football solely coz it's more fun to watch.
But as to the question 'Which football tactics is great?' ....I think it depends on -will the coach or the players know when's the right time to use which ,,,and against whom??
