I can only look at it from a practical point of view. What will you be ultimately using the computer for? Games and music - either one, though with the PC being the more used platform I would think you would get more options there - but MAC is so streamlined and easy, it was always popular in schools for that reason.

I use a PC because I am a freelance professional catering to the business world. I use the same sort of machines they do, because I must simulate their environment to be sure they will be happy with the performance of what I make for them. Folks in a purely creative field (graphic design, music, animation, 3D) swear by the mac because it is more refined in it's mouse and interface features, has all the best creative programs, etc.

Right now PC is the more popular and that does give you a larger variety of stuff - everything is made for PC, but not everything is made for mac. Though some will tell you that the graphic and sound quality with a mac is so superior it is worth it.

So which do you want - super high end beautiful stuff, though it may have limited selection on titles - or absolutely everything at your fingertips that integrates with almost everyone else with a few more hassles and not "snob quality" visuals and sound?

Peace!

laptop computers can be a rather tricky buy at times, I would suggest that you look out for the cheapest and yet latest desktop on the market,

the best way to do this is on what they call warehouse sale markets some of them are online.

these warehouse owners have a service where they sell laptop computers to normal customers like you and me, however with very reduced prices due to the fact that they do not have as much costs as normal shops do, such as rent and a employees etc. as you know most online shops have rather competitive prices sometimes cutting the laptop price to a half.

one such website for laptop computers is :

It all depends on what you do and the software you use. I'm a graphic designer so I definitely prefer mac. But if I were an accountant, I'd use a PC.

Depends. if you are going to want to do anything with the laptop get windows. if you are only going to use it for browsing or word processing, get a mac.

i would honestly get a PC because iMac's, though very stable, are very complicated...and sometimes you have to get special things for and iMac that you could get "universally" for a PC that would cost you a lot less

Pay more for an iMac, more stable OS.
Pay less for a PC, yet mostly stable, accessories are less costly.

Hope I could help!

I suggest you a PC, because you seems to be too NOOB to get a MAC.
