Macs are very expensive, if you are on a budget buy Dell. If you already have several computers in your house on a network get a Dell. Just make sure you get the right antivirus software and other security problems and the fact that somebody stated before about viruses won't be such a big problem and you'll have saved $1000.

Check out HP Pavilion series. I have one and I love it. Plus you get tons of support from the HP people and they have free online courses you can take on maintaining your machine and all that good stuff. Go on check it out www.hp.com.

The Mac is a pain in the ***, you have to spend too much money on upgrades, they only give you free upgrades for a while then stop. After 2 years your Mac becomes obsolete if you cannot afford to upgrade or buy a new computer.

I've had my HP for over 3 years, and I do heavy graphic design on it and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Best of luck to you.
