Yes. Thousands of people are. Some buy them by the $10 roll as they are released to the public. Most save them as they receive them in change. Some buy them in "Proof sets" and "Mint sets" as sold by the government. The state quarters series has started many people collecting coins of all types and denomination in a renewed enthusiasm for coin collecting.

I've never collected them. Besides, most times that anything is advertised as a potential collector's item, it will usually NOT be a collector's item.

Yes, but it's getting harder to find them. I'm on the east coast and have trouble finding the midwest and west ones
