The Jackass who just said we don’t want you here, I don’t want to live in your freakin country, I don’t want to steal your job, I just want to study.
What a racist S.O.B.
Am actually asking this for a friend who already has a university degree in Economics, and want to study philosophy.

I did a search on the U.S. News & World Report College site and came up with the following 12 colleges that offer Philosophy majors for less than $10,000.00 per year:

CUNY--Brooklyn College (NY)
CUNY--College of Staten Island (NY)
CUNY--Hunter College (NY)
CUNY--Lehman College (NY)
CUNY--York College (NY)
Excelsior College (NY)
Minnesota State University--Moorhead (MN)
Northeastern Illinois University (IL)
Thomas Edison State College (NJ)
Utah Valley State College (UT)

A semester cost 35 thousand or more, thats 70 thousand a year if you dont take classes during the summer and thats local people prices, so you would have to pay alot more. Plus you would only be allowed to work 20 hours a week, if you work more they revoke your student visa and kick you out. Most American makes less than 30 thousand a year so you could never afford 1 semester escpially with only 20 hours a week.

I don't reallly know about which colleges but maybe you should see about community colleges because generally they are cheaper and a maximum of two years. You have to search on the internet about these community colleges and also in which state of the USA you are planning to study at =). when you find some, see which ones offer your major of interest. =] hope this helped
ps: don't listen to the firts person who answered your question, he is very stupid >=(

I think it depends on your ambitions. If you are an excellent student and have a BA or an equivalent, apply to the Ivy League unis, they grant their students stipends which cover everything. I heard it is also possible and quite common to "collect" scholarships from different sources and cover most of your BA expenses so it becomes affordable. Good luck!

SDSU, most likely. Tuition in state colleges is pretty low, as far I can recall.
