People lie to protect themselves or because they are frightened of the truth.

My sister is a chronological liar. After watching her my whole life, I've come to realize that this comforts her somehow. She can't seem to deal with the truth. Lieing just comes so much easier for her now. It's like a part of her, like a disease now. A bad habit. She lies about the tinyest, most stupid things. But I think she's has a chemical imbalance as well. I think there are many reasons for lying, but those are my main beliefs.

Because they can't stand the truth. And as the lying thing grows soon there whole life becomes a lie. Or mabey there life isn't good enough so they have to add lies to it. I really don't know the true answer to this question but only they can answer it.

this answer could be a book. mostly I think people lie because they fear your judgment. they try to put a thought in your head that has a favorable outcome for them, so you won't be disappointed in them. it's really a compliment but most people prefer to see it as disrespect. the liar values your opinion so much they prefer to lie to avoid disapproval. think about what would motivate you to lie and you have your answer.

Lies?well,tell me one person today that don,t(smile)but alot of the answers are so correct,depending on the situation at hand,lets say just flat out lier?alot of my friends,when it comes to me,alot do lie alot,to try and impress me with their dailey life,as if it,s all that,got it going on,pretending to be more then what they as well,it is?even to keep my friendship in conversation,but don,t need to lie,and knowing how i am,just be self and i,m good to go,why?try to keep up with the Jones!just be truthful about it!(right).
