"God was created by man in his own image" is eminently true and reasonable. How long will it take for the Human Race to divorce itself from the concept of God? 50 years? 100 years? 500 years? It's inevitable, but when? What's your over under?

It probably won't. Over the past 3500 years, the concept of God (or God's) has only gotten stronger and more diverse. More religons, more God's, more fanatics prepared to die and kill to prove they are correct, the rest of the world is wrong. The human race will probably go extinct before the idea of God.

You say....' "God was created by man in his own image" is eminently true and reasonable.....'
How did you come up with that conclusion? Where you taught that by family and/or peers, or is it something you came up with on your own after careful consideration?
There are some who have a strong faith in God. If in having this faith, they pose no threat to anyone and it is helpful to them, why question or deride it?
Having no more insight into the mind of God than you or anyone else, all I can say is "the proof is in the pudding".
In other words, when the time comes, we will all know the answer......

It'll never happen. God needs to live in order for us to justify our condemnations of each other. No decent Finger-Pointer would ever hate another without the Word as his justification.

And to think, most of these so-called "born agains" base their religious beliefs on what the (holy) televangelists tell them is the truth. But all they (all of them) teach is hate, fear and their need for more money. Pitiful, because the Word is full of love and forgiveness. But where is it in men's hearts? And now, thanks to George Bush, we've discovered new enemies such as the terrorist rag heads, queers and old people (retirees). "They're coming to getcha!" Amazing!

God is eternal--He always was, is, and will always be. Stop fighting, resisting, and denying Him, for He loves you! The Bible is the *greatest* love story of all time; and His love for you is a *free* gift, if you only receive it. "Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever." 1 Timothy 1:17.

God will still exist long after our sun burns itself out and earth becomes a big ball of ice. No matter what you think.

In my Bible God Created man and then took Woman out of man, then rested. God will be around as long as people believe in him. Jehovah(God) is in our hearts and we pass that on to our offspring, and they pass it to there offspring, etc... and who know how long he has already been here.

God Bless all. and all if forgiven that is why he gave his only begotten son Jesus.

God's dead... When's the last time you witnessed a miracle, any of you? Don't tell me Jesus either, you weren't there. I love the question man, it's perfectly concise. And I also love the additional information.
