Like, O, you look great! Have you lost some weight?--And you know that pearson looks like that just gained another 30 pounds. Isn't it better not to say anything?
Or, what do you think of our Great presidents? Instead saying o, I wish he would go to Hell before He sends this country there, you say Yes, he is traying hard, I hope all the efforts pay off... O, just million different things. The other day I was introdused to a man, and his girfriend told him:"Watch it, she speaks her mind!" like it is
Watch it, she has AIDS. How do you explain that?

People love to hear compliments if delivered genuinely. When you tell a woman she looks great and like she has lost weight, she is more likely to approach that attractive man at the bar or have more confidence for her job interview. It is always best to say something nice and to graciously accept nice things said about you.

I don't like our president - I am not comfortable with his style of management. I try to be positive, but he makes it hard.

Watch it, she speaks her mind. My guess is he has had friends who give her a bit of ribbing or are condescending to her and she puts them in their place - to the point where this man feels he needs to warn folks to watch what they say. It is always best to be polite and respectful - and to be the one listening to the one who speaks her mind talk about someone else than to draw their fire onto one's own flaws (we still don't know what will offend her).

Peace!

You make several good points here - I agree.

By the way, I 'm sorry you thought I was rude in my answer to your question about where to move. If I remember correctly, I said, "I'm sure you and your husband are very nice people..." There was no attempt there to put you down. Here was my point - Colorado has been and continues to be ruined. Many of the things that seem to bring people to Colorado are going away. The mountains are full of houses (imagine a place in the mountains where the homes are as close as they are in the city) and the recreational opportunities are not as great as they once were because there are so many people on the slopes, on the rivers, fishing, hunting, etc., that many of us are going to other states to get away from our neighbors. The biggest thing, if you're going to live in the Denver area, might be that there isn't enough water for all the people who live here. You spend thousands of dollars putting in landscaping and then your grass and plants die because there are watering restrictions. Where I live I can only water every third day before 9:00AM and after 6:00PM and only for 20 minutes. When it's in the 90's in Colorado the humidity is seldom over 20% during the day and that's not enough water to keep a lawn looking nice.
So, I wasn't saying we don't want you here as much as I was saying you'll likely become disappointed. Good Luck!!

Looking better after gaining 30 pounds is not necessarily a lie.

The President working hard and hoping that his efforts pay off is not a lie.

Having AIDS is not a lie.

Perhaps some other people simply have a problem recognizing the Truth.

We as humans simply like to have our inner beliefs externally validated. Whether it's true or false is largely irrelevent.
