Do you mean you restored your pc to an earlier date using the System Restore? System restore removes all the .exe files (except those in the My Documents folder) that were created after the date to which the pc is being restored. Easiest way is to re-install the messenger...
In future - if you want to restore your pc to an earlier date, but there is an exe that you want to save, you can move that exe file to the My Documents folder and then perform the System Restore.

It must be stored in the folder where you installed it example::
C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger
It must be there just add a shortcut of it to the desktop
If its not there you have no way redownload it

download it again. If you reset your computer to another date and Y! messenger wasn't downloaded then, it's as if it never was downloaded. So just download it :)
