Nope. They're a cool lot now. I was disgusted when I heard that the former president had an affair with a young lady and cheated on his wife while tossing all morality out of the White House but the current government is doing a nice job.

I am always getting disgusted with the Government. I watch at least two hours of newscasts a day, plus read three newspapers a day and I have studied and obtained three university degrees and one would think I have some tolerance for B.S. ... but I don't. The Government we live under presently seems to be run by a bunch of kindergarten children and nobody seems to be in charge. I am always seeking change.

The only problem is that the same ones who run our government today once took their battles in the sandbox; today, they only play in bigger and better sandboxes with more and more people in them (such as spreading from here to Iraq and Afghanistan, for example).

"Our"= United States? (you're on the internet, remember)

No, I'm not.

I mean, the folks running it sure are disgusting.

But remember - we do live in a republic. People vote for the folks who are in office. It's not the government's fault - its the voters that have screwed up.

The people get the government that they deserve.
Or, alternately, "democracy is the theory of government that says that the people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard."

I'm disgusted with the voting public.

With the government in the Philippines, no. I think it's all about the Filipinos now. They'll vote for their president, then they'll dump them afterwards. They did that to almost all the presidents like Erap. Another problem is lack of money. What can the government do if they really do not have that big amount of money to deal with Filipinos' needs? We got a big big debt, and the increasing price of oil adds to it.

No. I think all Governments have their issues and there are ways they could do better. Take a look at some of the existing governments in other countries, we could be doing a lot worse.

Yes. People who only care about money will elect anyone, no matter how much they sold their grandmother for. And people who are so concerned about everyone elses morals (except their own) will elect anyone who says they're a Christian. And then when their guy doesn't win they complain about the stupidity of the other side. Yeah this is a true democracy. We all lose.
