One may say trust. But really, in friendship, no one is perfect, so in real, it's forgiveness and give without wanting the person to be so perfect.

Trust is earnt, it don't happen over night. Friendship happens from being an associate first, then it builds into trust and it grows when you forgive the other person for their faults because you are friends with them because of who they are not of what you want to change about them.

Forgiveness makes the friendship longer and this takes courage. That's true friendship.

Respect.

Trust is very important, but it is possible to fully trust one whom you do not respect. It is not possible to fully respect someone whom you do not trust. The idea that you could form a true friendship with a person you do not respect seems unlikely to me - no matter how trustworthy that person may be.

A friendship without trust can be true and valuable, but one without mutual respect is always false. Trust will not develop into friendship until it is accompanied by respect.

Respect is what inspires, motivates, and sustains friendship. It is the only true prerequisite.

I'd say trust - which can only come from honesty, and open-ness, communication without fear. So it is more than mere trust - it is entrustment of each to other. It is built by not merely re-acting, but by truly responding, which requires taking your time, being aware of the other, aware of yourself, and not relying on "scripts", as most people do. All this makes true friendship rare, and precious. It also is the necessary basis of love - but that is a particular of its own.

Trust is the foremost quality that is very necessary for a good frendship. One should be ready to help without expecting. This will take an individual a very long way.

I guess according to me these 2 are very important between friends.
