why do married men feel as if they need to flirt? is it just my opinion?

i think everyone flirts not in a bad way ... but it reflects a bad image on them especially when you are an old and a married man....it depends on how they talk and what comes out of their mouth....

Its a genetic need, deeply ingrained. Biologically, a man produces miilions of sperms per ejaculation, when only one is required to do the deed. A woman produces an egg a month! So its natures way that a man has this unconscious desire to spread his seed, while a woman protescts and nurtures it for the best genetics, i.e. male qualities that she is looking for......in earlier days, strength, good providing/hunting skills, and today, power, position, money!

Marriage is a social rule which prevents conflict in society, i.e man's promiscuous tendency is curbed by marriage and societal pressure to adhere to a single partner. However, in various societies, the same rule do not hold good, depending on positoin and money, men can have many wives, and contrarily, women can have many husbands!
So married men flirting is just a little genetic impulse asserting itself under social suppression. How far it goes depends on how much society has civilized the basic instinct!

On the funny side::
1. All men are extremely busy.
2. Although they are so busy, they still have time for women.
3. Although they have time for women, they don't really care for them.
4. Although they don't really care for them, they always have one
around.
5. Although they always have one around them, they always try their luck
with
others.
6. Although they try their luck with others, they get really pissed off if
the woman leaves them.
7. Although the woman leaves them they still don't learn from their mistakes
and still try their luck with others.

Women:

1. The most important thing for a woman is financial security.
2. Although this is so important, they still go out and buy expensive
clothes
and stuff.
3. Although they always buy expensive clothes, they never have
something to wear.
4. Although they never have something to wear, they always dress
beautifully.
5. Although they always dress beautifully, their clothes are always just "an
old rag".
6. Although their clothes are always "just an old rag", they still expect
you to compliment them.
7. Although they expect you to compliment them, when you do, they
don't believe you.

Perhaps because they still want to feel wanted, or that they still 'have it' I don't know, but at least they are not being unfaithful. Married women are worse, believe me, I am a single guy, you wouldn't believe how many married women will flirt with you at company parties and the like, with their husband's who might be your boss right there or brazenly cop a feel when they think no one is looking......that's why sometimes I don't even go to those things.

I flirt all the time, I'm not married ( anymore) but flirting is part of my personality, I have done it my whole life. and it has been very rewarding. If I can help someone to feel attractive and brighten their day, why not? younger guys are intimidated by nice looking women, older guys are no longer intimidated ( what have they got to lose) by nice looks, so they take the shot. it's kind of a statement, I'm not afraid of you. I am not intimidated by you any more.

its a change of perspective on life not necesarilly flirting, we tend to be more friendly and more expressive with woman since we know we have a safe zone, so dont take it the wrong way, sometimes it is just being polite, but then again sometimes some guys flirt more.

Well if their faithful but flirting ..its because they want the ego rush of having another woman's attention kinda like when a man flirts with a woman, doesnt mean we want to sleep with them, but we get alittle giddy inside knowing "we still got it".. But i dont agree with married men doing it.. they shouldnt its disrespectful to their wives, and their vows..

Cause they are ALL unhappy in their marriage!!! they all are looking for a greener pasture on the other side and WANT to feel better... they want to not feel so miserable and are looking to feel younger... in a younger, more youthful type of person, they can find that.... they want and they need, until they actually GET IT and then they don't know what to DO WITH IT!!! then they get confused and don't know whether or not to stay with the wife or when to leave them or what to do with their situation or whatever and then they leave the "other woman" dazed and confused~!!!!!
